What in the Heck is YourDirectMatches.com?

By Corey | February 7, 2007

Well its official, I’ve jumped head first into the world of blogging. I want to improve my communication skills, share some ideas and, most of all, have some fun. Here we go!

My blogging subject of choice has to do with a website that I stumbled across back in September while I was painstakingly wandering cyberspace looking for leads. Sound familiar? That website is Directmatches and its a great business networking site, and I might add, one of the the top social networking sites out there.

I want to create a resource to help you current Directmatches members realize some of the benefits my team and I have been reaping for the past few months. Also, I just know there are a ton of you out in entrepreneurland that can benefit from a site like this as well. I know I can help each of you maximize your experience using the site to do things like grow your business, stuff more money in your pocket and make some business contacts and friends.

Every couple of days I am going to share valuable information on how the site allows you to network with thousands of entrepreneurs, advertise your business or blog for free AND, best of all, earn money doing it. To be a tad more specific, the posts will talk about what Directmatches is, how and where my team has been successful promoting it to others (and earning some cash along the way), how the team has been successful promoting their respective businesses “within” Directmatches and much more since I’m sure more will pop up along the way.

So there you have it. Lets get the ball rolling. Post a comment below if you’d like. Remember to be honest when giving me your thoughts and don’t be afraid to promote yourself or business (after all that is what its all about). OR if you have nothing to say now, no problem, be on the look out for my next post because you most certainly will in the future. Until then.

See I look at this in another way. Since there are so many people in Direct Matches= I feel the market is being oversaturated with offers of good and bad. I feel like they already have seen many of the ventures out there. If you have a landing page first then it could work, but not this way. If it’s a brand new opportunity then this would work since it wouldn’t have already been around the block. Most do not have a place for people who sign up and sit plus do nothing. For the program to continue you need to take these people out and get new ones in to replace them. No wonder so many shut down in such short amount of time and it’s sad because their goes these peoples’ dreams. A lot of Trust needs to be there. I think Direct Matches is a great site and it serves it’s purpose for networking. Of the people I contacted I noticed most already knew about Free1Up and what it was all about. They were trying to get me into their program which I was already a member of in the first place. Good Luck with the opportunity in Direct Matches!!! Happy Blogging and Prospecting to you. Not my cup of tea sorry.

    Cathy,

Thanks for the comment!Considering your perspective, you are 100% right about the over saturation. There are many people from many of the opportunities that i do participate in or have participated in. I had to swallow that myself early on.

However, since then, I have experienced things within the community that have made my time there worth while. There are people, who i have met via DM, who have been great to work and share ideas with. Did we jump at each others biz ops? NO. But the information shared, knowledge gained and the budding relationship that are forming are all extremely valuable in my opinion, in terms of my (and hopefully theirs too)development as an entrepreneur.

A person i met within DM shared an information product with me that has completely changed my perspective, for the better, on how I should operate my business. Since using this particular product I have made positive, steady strides in the right direction.

It all depends on how you want to use DM and what you expect to get out of it. If someone comes in and just starts shoving their business in everyones face (like I did) I doubt that they will have very much success or appreciate the finer points of DM. Why? Because I think that most people just want to meet and work with real people who can help them achieve their dreams and goals, not robot networker sales machines (which is what makes up about 90% of my inbox).

I suspect that the people enjoying DM are the ones who just appreciate the positive environment and the opportunity to work and learn with people who are like-minded. Which in my experience is a breath of fresh air.

I know within DM i can be comfortable talking about anything concerning MLM and/or home business without getting judged as a scam artist or some other label you get from cynical people.

I know that within DM I can hone my relationship building people skills with people who think the same way i do, again, without getting judged.

I will go promoting DM because it works for me and will no doubt work for others.

Again, I am very glad that you made a comment. I doubt there is one right and one wrong answer for everyone. We can agree to disagree. I hope you will check in from time to time.

I wish you success, for your, and our worlds, own good.

    One more thing Cathy,

If you think about it, aren’t there a bunch of advertising forums that are “saturated?” How many home business/biz op ads do you see on your supermarket bulletin board, or in your newspaper classifieds, or online classifieds, search engines, TV, Radio even. Myself, I see them everywhere. Would you agree that just about everywhere you look there is saturation?

I’ve been in companies that have been labeled “saturated” but for some reason somebody comes along and succeeds anyway. I wonder why that is?

I’m am by no means a genuis or a millionaire (yet) but perhaps the key is more about standing out, networking and building relationships.

I agree with Corey. “Saturarted” To some, may see it as overwhelming. And some might even know it’s there.

Besides home bases bizs, I see it everywhere in the business world.

Many Corporate, or Companies will do whatever it takes to market their products or services. Anywhere form Direct mailing marketing to online marketing, they will do whatever it takes to get the name out there.

For example, I remember when AOL back in the days promoting a lot of FREE CDS
by direct mail or handling them out.

Over the years , even though some of us where AOL users, they keep marketing new CDS to use by mail not even knowing we where an AOL User.

Basically their marketing approach is generating leads because you never know who might sign up with your product or services you are offering.

I’m been with Directmathces since June 12, 2006 and it’s been as amazing ride
Not only I promote any biz Masgraphics.net and gotten inquires by meeting Hundreds or people and sharing ideas what I do.

Like any other biz you promote no matter what
    Keywords: Network, and Build Relationships
